Successful Premiere for KDPOF at CHIPNATION Congress
We’re delighted to have been part of the first edition of the CHIPNATION Congress, held on 28 November 2023 in Getafe, Spain. It has been a good opportunity to show our automotive optical gigabit connectivity demo to the Spanish industry and experts. Thank you for all the great and inspiring meetings at our stand. In addition, we enjoyed and profited from interesting conference sessions.
Building the Future of the European Semiconductors Industry
At the panel discussion “IPCEI and the capabilities deployed in Spain”, our CEO Carlos Pardo discussed with Jose Capmany, COO of iPronics Programmable Photonics, and Iñigo Artundo, CEO of VLC Photonics (Hitachi Group). It was moderated by Estela Gallego, Advisory Spokesperson, Directorate General for Industry and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises. They’ve talked about the capabilities deployed with the IPCEI in microelectronics and their integration into the Spanish ecosystem. Carlos stated: “The semiconductor industry is not going to be built in three years, this is a long-term bet. In my 30 years as a professional in the sector I have never seen this support”.
The Spanish Semiconductor Industry Association (Asociación Española de la Industria de Semiconductores, AESEMI), in collaboration with the Getafe City Council (GISA) and the Technological Innovation and Talent Cluster (CITT) in semiconductors, are the initiatives and organizers of the CHIPNATION Congress.
The Congress aims to become the meeting point of the semiconductor ecosystem at national level, with the participation of leading personalities from the academic and business world to discuss the main current issues for our sector. The semiconductor and microelectronics ecosystem in Spain is at a point of unique growth that makes it essential to create spaces where companies, universities and R&D entities can meet and work together.
